How to experience Quiet Confidence

Often we have loved ones in our lives that would use us, or make their issues ours. Take heart we all face challenges and issue along our life path, and yes there are those who would despitefully use you, but God / SPIRIT does not intend that you suffer from abuse.

When you first begin your journey toward emotional wholeness, you may feel that you do not have all the answers. This is more common that you can imagine. However this is no reason to delay getting started on your path to wholeness.

Your path begins with a single step of determination not to be despitefully used. What does that mean? It means beginning to understand how you are being treated, by whom, and how you can establish successful boundaries. Now when I first started out, I was pretty much beaten down, so much so that my own friends did not even recognize the person I had become. Where once I was a vibrant, loving, caring person, I was now stressed out, depressed, and extremely anxious. That is no way for anyone to live their lives.

Understanding where you are now will help you to transition into a more positive state of being. There may be reasons that you allow others to insult you, treat you abusively, falsely accuse you, or threaten you. It may be that up until now you have been unaware of the reasons for your feelings of inadequacy, anxiety, or depression.

Begin to add value to yourself by finding ways to say no to the abuse. By doing this you are honoring yourself and God / SPIRIT. For it is written in Matthew 5:44 “I say to you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who despitefully use you and persecute you.”KJV

Take revolutionary action. The love spoken of by Jesus is the kind that is beneficial to both the abuser and yourself. It is not about having a “loving” feeling or apathy toward those who would use you, it is about doing the highest good ~creating boundaries. By creating boundaries you are making a statement that you have value and purpose, and you are sending a message to the other person that their actions are not loving or kind.

Your action can be simple and compelling. Of course I encourage you to weigh the course of your own actions, and seek professional help as needed. Each situation is unique and must be handled accordingly. Once you decide to take action you will begin to experience greater self confidence and self value. Taking action in wisdom creates a loving process as it sends a strong message to the person who is using you that you are no longer participating in that kind of reality. It also send as message to God / SPIRIT that you are ready to heal and move on in your life.

You are unique and special. You are loved by the Creator Source of All. Stepping out can take some courage and determination. Once you begin to take the emotional abuse out of your life, reclaim your personal space, and experience your own true Divine Nature, you will gain more and more self confidence. In that confidence you will be able to express your desire to have a peaceful and joyful emotional boundary. All else will simply pass through your energy field, be observed, and remain unabsorbed leaving you room to truly be who you are and navigate joyfully through life.

Path to success:

See if you can sit quietly for a while. Are you able to still your mind? Take a moment to see what kind of emotions you are experiencing when no one else is present. Is there a common thread that creates anxiousness? Take time everyday to review how far you have come in establishing boundaries and saying no to those who would despitefully use you. Create a space for confidence in yourself. Quiet your mind in realizing that you are unique and valuable to God / SPIRIT and yourself.

How to Run Congruent to Yourself

For many years I noticed that the job that I found myself doing, the people that I found myself hanging around, and the relationships that I found myself in were . . . well, just not me.

But if they were not me then what was I doing there? Why was I working in a job that cause me great amounts of stress, self doubt, and involved huge amounts of drama.

Why was I feeling like I could not be myself around other people and truly express my thoughts, feelings, and emotions? Why was I feeling forced to be with people who could not relate to me, and saw me as odd? Honestly it made me feel inadequate and caused me not to treat myself well. 

The answer to my situation was simple, I was not being congruent to my true nature. I was forcing myself to live within societal norms that didn’t fit who I was, or what I was here to do. I had been instilled with a set of self beliefs that were not congruent to my Divine nature, who God / SPIRIT had created me to be.

I had been instilled with a set of self beliefs that came from a tenant based faith that did not understand spiritually gifted people. Anything that I said or did that was outside of the “norm” was seen as bad or wrong or of the devil. It was not until my thirties that I learned that spiritual gifts were described in I Corinthians 12 and were quite acceptable in the sight of God / SPIRIT.

It was then that I was able to relax and allow myself to become a peace with who I was. It was then that I began to discover who I truly was and be in harmony with myself.

I am going to share with you four methods on how to run congruent to who you are.

1. Get clear on who you are. Write down how you feel about your current job, relationship, and the current topics of conversation that you find yourself having with your inner circle of friends. Then note the items that you feel comfortable with and the items you feel are missing. 

2. Get underneath the surface of self beliefs. Many people have trouble investing in themselves. Instead they give time to others, make sacrifices for others they would never do for themselves, and end up putting themselves at the bottom of the list. What do you truly believe about yourself? Are you worth having a job that you love? Relationships with people that honor you? Having the financial resources that you always dreamed of? What are the beliefs that hold you where you currently are right now? 

3. Debunk the belief systems that hold you down. Belief systems are a control device. If you believe something is true, then you perceive that your behavior has to be a certain way in order to keep you safe. In my case I was told that God did not talk to people and so it was demons that were talking to me so I needed to repent. Imagine how I felt when I repented and the messages from God got stronger!

4. Stand in Your Integrity. It is good to recognize certain people are not your ideal friends, some jobs do not honor your level of integrity, and some investments simply do not pay off. Trust your gut instinct – if something or someone causes your gut to squirm or hurt, listen to that. Not long after I found that my gifts were truly from the Divine nature of God / SPIRIT. I had a choice to make. Stand in the integrity of who I was, or conform to a church that did not allow for the nature of gifts of the Spirit. I had to let go.

How to Manage Your Feelings During an Energy Shift

Over the last several days I have had a lot of request asking me how to manage the feelings and emotions that are surging through our beingness during these energy shifts, how to stay positive, and create a better future for ourselves.

As with any emotions is it best to have a look at what you are feeling and what you are experiencing. To know where you are so that you can release the old and create a better “now” and a  happier future for yourself.

Here are a few keys to helping you manage your feelings:

Remember to Breathe Deeply. Holding your breath, or shallow breathing, creates a rush of energy to your head and cause feeling of anxiety while breathing deeply can help to relax us while nourishing the body with oxygen. This is basic science – the body requires oxygen to function at a healthy state. It also helps us to center our focus and release our creative energy; therefore, creating a calmer “now” and a brighter and more joyful tomorrow. 

Create Gratitude in Your Life. Take out pen and paper and write down 5 things that you are grateful for right now. Then make a commitment to start and end your day by stating out loud and writing down 5 things you are grateful for. Keep a diary for 7 days and see how you feel at the end of the seven day. This simple exercise will raise your vibration and help you to navigate the energy shifts.

To prove the value of this exercise take a moment now and see how the following changes the energy in your body. Say out loud right now: “I will never succeed, I will never amount to anything, I will remain as I am.”  Ew! Yuckie.  Notice that your vibration sank – even if you did not say it out loud and only thought about it. Now complete the exercise by stating out loud right now: “(enter your name here) I am wonderful, I am beautiful, in this whole world there is only one me that can contribute to the Universe the way that I can. I am valuable and I accept my value!” Now take a breath and notice how you feel. Focus your thoughts on being grateful for the positive in your life right now.

Eat with Purpose. Many of us eat on the run and rush through dinner for other activities. It is important to eat food that nourishes the body. When our bodies feel the shift and we feel anxious that can leave an empty space inside of us. Inside our hearts. In attempt to fill that empty space we often fill our tummy’s instead of our hearts. Take a moment and point to your heart. Now point to your tummy. Did you point to the same place? No. Then learn to fill the wonderful tummy with food that nourishes, and fill the heart with the love of SPIRIT. I recently learned to chew my food 30 times before I swallow. That brought awareness to my eating, and focus to my body taking in nourishment. It brought a sense of my taste to my mind, and further what  I was eating. I found that some things were much too salty, and others much too sweet. Eat with purpose, enjoy the meal, and chew with intention of enjoying the moment.

Refrain from judging yourself and others. We can find ourselves placing judgment on ourselves and others by the belief system that we hold to be true. Take a moment to consider the space that you require from others to find your own way, to grow, and be accepted. We walk in our own shoes, and they walk in theirs. I find that it is far easier to have compassion on someone who appears to be making difficult choices and chooses to walk a more challenging path that the one that we would have for them.

As the energy shifts become more intense we can become more judgmental on ourselves based on the belief systems we have been raised in. We may find ourselves saying: how could I have (enter judgement here), what is wrong with me, or that was a stupid mistake. Ask yourself by what criteria am I making this judgement. Find the reason for the behavior,  and simply make a different choice.

Smile and enjoy the ride. One of the most challenging expressions for me has been: “experience is the process”. In this day and age of instant information, swift purchases, and an abundance of ready made media services, we forget that experience is part of our reason for being in the physical body. That is what we signed up for – so make it a good ride! Know that being on this planet right now means that you will experience the energy shifts.
